it is time.
it is Christmas.
it is the time that we celebrate the birth of a baby, who was King.
a baby who was King and who was born to die.
for our sins. for our blemishes.
to restore a right relationship between us and the father.

let us not forget.

this was the year that First Baptist Church Rosenberg was formed. Our church seems to take great pride in the fact that it is crazy old. working in a church that is this old has many advantages as well as many disadvantages.

one of the advantages that is also a disadvantage is the fact that we have an abundance of random junk just laying around the church in random closets. one of the things that i stumbled upon that has take up residence in my office is a record player.

so i am currently basking in the glory that is bob dylan on vinyl.
so to whoever “donated” this record player to the youth room many years ago…

a couple articles and an amazing discovery

i was watching fox news this morning and saw this story. it was pretty awesome. the thing i think i like the most is that there were people protesting. i think if the governor and other law makers are involved, your protest isn’t going to do anything except get you on fox news. (looks like it worked) then today there is rain in the forecast for parts of georgia. imagine that! they have said that they would really need a tropical depression to stop over georgia for a day or two to really help, but at this point i think georgian’s will accept any rain, in any amount.

then while i was searching for the previous article i ran across this one. this really made me laugh.

and then i saw this advertisement on a website earlier.

aparently jesus was the president of a seminary.

aww geez…

while at lunch i saw quite possibly the greatest commercial of all time. it was advertising for sonic happy hour. for the month of november, from 2-4 pm, all drinks and slushes are half off. at this moment i am sipping on a Route 44 cherry vanilla dr pepper that i bought for $1.09 with a quarter, a couple dimes and an abundance of pennies. the girl that brought me the drink looked at me like i was stupid. but hey, i got my cherry vanilla dr pepper. thanks you sonic. ill see you again in a couple days.
