…out of the country for the next week.
on today, the 23rd of february i become a husband. my wife and i will be on a cruise and will cut off all forms of communication with the motherland.
we will return to the motherland (texas) on the first of march and then i will proceed to post pictures and fun stories from the honeymoon.

some of kimb’s family came into town tonight for our wedding on saturday. we shared a great meal together then just hung out. during this time i got to play with the kids. here are a couple from the night.

…is going to be fun. meetings everyday monday thru thursday. friday wedding rehearsal and dinner. saturday is the wedding. im so excited. IM GOING TO BE A HUSBAND!! i am full of so many emotions. my mind is not in the right place. i can’t focus on work. i forget what i have done so i do it again. so much stuff going on.
all i know is that on saturday i will be a husband and then on sunday i will be heading to ft. lauderdale to get on a cruise ship and go to Jamaica, the bahamas and grand cayman islands with the love of my life.
i am so excited.
please pray for my future bride and me this week as we prepare ourselves and deal with last minute stuff.

just kidding, but i do get to go meet with a geico agent to get a quote. some punk hit me in the parking lot of a mexican restaurant here in rosenberg on sunday afternoon. then drove off.

…certain things can remind me of my redeemer. yesterday was a very interesting day. probably the worst day i have had, emotionally, in a REALLY long time. in all honesty, maybe the worst day i’ve had, ever. this morning i got into the office. i did my habitual round of websites (myspace, facebook, fantasy sports @ yahoo, astros.com, livejournal, wordpress) and then i decided to sit down and play with photoshop. something that always calms me. i went to find picture that could be a good one to edit in my iPhoto library and ran across this one…
i love how my redeemer is faithful.
we know that every morning the sun is going to rise, and that it is going to set that evening. thats how it works. thats just how it is. i know that my redeemer is faithful to take care of me (i really don’t know what this means), to provide for me (im understanding this more and more), and to never leave me. i am thankful that i serve a God that walks beside me. that is with me in my struggles and in my pains.
please continue to pray.

…good. went shopping to get a few clothes for the honeymoon. i bought some slim straight jeans from the levi store. a shirt from express, and some board shorts from PacSun. it was a productive morning. then i met kimb for lunch (chik-fil-a) and then we went to bed bath and beyond and pier 1. at pier 1 we bought a papasan chair and like 9,000 pillows. just kidding. we only bought 9 pillows. then we went to the hbu homecoming game and we killed bacone college. it was awesome. then we had ice cream and good conversation till like 11pm.
overall…
today was a great day.
now its off to sleep.

… on second timothy tonight and when studying, i think i have found something that i can chew on for awhile.

Paul is saying that he KNOWS, his redeemer. he knows the character of his redeemer. it is because of that character that he is not ashamed and sticking to the true gospel of justification by faith.
so here is what i am going to be chewing on for awhile.
there are many characteristics of my redeemer. what is my favorite? can i have just one favorite?

i like how most of the sports “experts” were saying that the patriots may be the best team ever… well they weren’t the best team on sunday. gosh. i have never been this happy about the outcome of a superbowl in my life.
