my wife and i went last friday to a ksbj brown bag at the chick-fil-a on westheimer and fondren. needtobreathe was playing. needless to say, these guys are good. very good. you can check out their myspace here. listen to “more time” and “washed by the water”. amazing. here are some shots from the night.

seniors ‘08 – chris sumner
last saturday i had the privilege of taking chris’ senior shots. he is one of the seniors in my youth group. he goes to needville high school and is an all-state trumpet player.

a normal day at the office
as somewhat a ministry to our community we allow the Rosenberg SWAT team to practice scenarios in the upstairs of our church building. i usually don’t know about this until randomly during one afternoon a month i hear loud running above my office. today i have like 20 minutes notice that they were coming. i talked with one of the higher up SWAT guys and i got to take a few pictures before they got started.

i spent saturday with some good friends of mine, miranda and ryan. i took miranda’s sister, ashley’s, senior pictures and after seeing them miranda asked me if i would take her and ryan’s engagement pictures. it was alot of fun taking these pictures. they knew exactly what they wanted and that made it easy. they wanted a more traditional photoshoot so i did a little of both. i really liked alot of the shots but here are a few of my favorites.

today was a good day.
this is a good description of my day.
busy. had staff meeting this morning and i have come to the conclusion that i am going to have to do some crazy editing for youth camp and m-fuge this summer. our numbers are way down. discouraging.
but this afternoon i sat down, put my ipod on my trusty little speaker set and hit shuffle. i opened up my bible software on the office computer. opened my bible to romans 1, and got out my journal.
this afternoon was good and refreshing. it was a needed couple of hours.
i was encouraged…
our youth service last night was probably one of the best one’s that we have had in awhile. there were only like 7 of us there but it was awesome. the students sang their hearts out and i love it when that happens. while i was teaching the word they were focused. listening to every word that i said. they asked questions. not goofy questions or anything but instead questions that were relevant to what i was teaching.
i loved it. i left church last night very encouraged. it was good to have a night like last night.
