today i had the opportunity to do a photoshoot with leslie of goodlight photography and her two awesome sons, greyson and asher. we hung out in their backyard, onion creek, and a park near the heights. it was awesome. here is a taste of the things to come.
attempt at textures
i have started working with textures on my photography. this guy daley hake is really, really good at it and inspires me to learn more. i think a great texture can take an ordinary photograph and make it really stand out in a crowd.
here is a picture i took near belmont street in portland oregon.
now here is the same picture with texture added.
what do you think? i know it is a really simple texture with not much editing done to it, but it is a start. here’s to learning!

so we are starting our second day of our second year of marriage and i still love her. oh, and please pardon the trash can in the background. i should probably work on my composition.

… i told kimberly michelle melton that i would love her for the rest of her life. this has by far been the best year of my life and i still love her. i love her more than i did the day this picture was taken. saturday i told her i wanted to spend 99 more years with her. she laughed.
